First Play Time Outside

It’s been a while since my last post, but Emil and I were quite busy during the last days. A lot of new things to discover, a lot of learning, and so many Firsts.

Monday a week ago after he had had all his vaccins we went to a puppy course at a local dog club. That evening, Emil was the only dog there, but we still had a good time. I have a lot of ideas what and how to achieve, but it doesn’t hurt to get opinions of others as well. This Saturday, there were two more puppies there. One a bit older and already full of energy. Funny enough, Emil was a lot more careful than I would have thought, but managed everything very well!

We have been on many walks in the area and already taken some short trips to new places as we are planing this afternoon as well. No matter the place, any walk is an adventure. New smells, new things to discover. And always trying to make the most out of it to see how far he can go already.

This morning, we met a very friendly dog we had previously met and joined them for our morning stroll. As it came, we met up with a whole pack of dogs. Emil was very careful, but still curious. The larger dogs running around in high speed was too much for him so he kept his distance at first. But when there were only two of them left, he finally found his courage to walk up to them! So very cute.

After we had gotten home and he’d had his breakfast, I went out for a few minutes to quickly run to the local bakery and left him alone with a big bone. Upon my return, he didn’t even blink or look at me when I entered the room as he was far too busy!

What a wonderful view! Good for training him to stay on his own for a few minutes at a time and building it up. In the car he is already happy to stay alone for about 30 minutes or so. We’ll continue working on staying at home (and in the motor home as well).

As he was quite busy, I left him for the time being and he didn’t even join me in the kitchen as I had my breakfast.

After a good rest and sleep we’ll soon had out for a walk at the river – something new to discover.
