And once again this year, I’m heading north. This time, as I have a copilot, I split the trip up to Kiel into two legs. We left in Friday and spent two nights in Wedel near Hamburg where we met up with the parents in Saturday.
The trip on Friday with Emil went very well. The last part of the trip he was on the floor lying down as he got tired up in the passenger seat. Of course he immediately took the chance to chew on anything within reach.
On Saturday we met the parents in their flat. A lot of new said to discover for Emil and we also went out for lunch. First time in a restaurant and he was amazing. Chewing on his bone the whole time and really being the best! A short walk in the park where I have been countless times with, in total, there Samoyeds back in the days. A lovely day and so many Firsts! Emils favourite spot seems to be the step in front of the door. Although he also sleeps under the table.
Today we went for a walk to the river Elbe in the morning and Emil had a lot of fun on the small beach and saw water for the first time. He was a bit hesitant about the incoming waves, but put his paws into the water for the first time in his life! after a quick stop at the parents, we drove up to cute where I parked on the terminal. We went for a short walk, because I wanted to get something from the bakery for the night. And we even sat down at Restez Unique. The waitress even was so kind as to give Emily a bowl of fresh water.
We have now boarded the ferry and even met another two year old malamute. So nice. As we were alone for a few minutes, both of them played a little. So nice!
