Lofoten Beach Camp

The weather this afternoon is ghastly. Winds at around 7 m/s and heavy rain doesn‘t make you want to go anywhere. I‘ll see how Ronja feels about the rain in a bit.

We arrived at Lofoten Beach Camp in the morning and found an empty spot for the camper. It‘s the second time we‘re arriving well before check-out, but can drop in without any discussion. Even though it was really windy and the camper is shaking from time to time, the morning was still nice, with just a short drizzling showers. We used the dry spells for a walk in this stunning scenery. As you can see, it was quite windy.

The views are stunning as everywhere here. Just look at our surroundings! The walk was nice, a bit sad that we didn’t make it further, but good enough.

Unfortunately we didn‘t make it up Flaktinden as the path went over rocks and I didn‘t want Ronja to go over the rocks. And neither did I feel safe enough myself. So we walked by the church on our way back instead.

It was really pouring down the whole afternoon (and still is). But that doesn‘t matter to us – we need to go for an evening walk. So off we went in full rain gear.

As some of us didn‘t bring their rain coats (not pointing any fingers here!) a towel came in handy. And now, Ronja is relaxing on her mat. Well, technically most of the dog is on the mat. I can already here soft snoring and I will soon go to bed as well…
