Easter Plans

I made it to the capital. Finally… I arrived in Stockholm this afternoon after having decided to come here just about two days ago. But in the end, I couldn’t do without visiting. It’s Stockholm after all! The weather was fantastic the last two days, bright and suny. Still quite cold and temperatures below zero degrees over night. But the sun is already warming significantly once you’re out of the wind. And I will spend Easter in Stockholm!

From Varberg I drove up to Kristinehamn where the site was packed with mainly Norwegian travellers who obviously enjoy Sweden almost as much as I do. It meant that I didn’t get electricity over night, but I was fine witout. There were works going on to build a new park in the vicinity and I guess that it will be much nicer in the summer. The day after I drove back down the road I had come up a day earlier for a short stop in Sjötorp at the Göta Kanal before finding a place to stay for the night in Borensberg. The first place I had found on the map was closed – and just how lucky I was it hadn’t been open. The stopover at Borsenberg was great. Although I imagine it being even better with the boats going by on the canal during summer season, I had a good stay. The owners really have put in an effort to present a top facility. I just relaxed and enjoyed being in the camper. It feel more and more like a home on wheels for me. Still new, but I love all the possibilities.

Driving along the canal on the first kilometres I headed for Stockholm after breakfast this morning. Just stopping at ICA Maxi to get crawfish for dinner (again…).

Well, I’m getting ready to shut down all my devices. I might post some snapshots tomorrow. For now I’m going to say goodnight. The moon is out and shining brightly, it’s getting cold outside, but in here it is warm and cosy.
