Edinburgh – eteaket Tea Room

I drove down to Edinburgh this morning. After servicing the camper, I left in the early sunshine looking back on the mountains. It’ll be a while before I get back, but I will have to visit again.

I drove down southwards into the clouds rolling in from the sea. The first stop reaching Edinburgh was to get a few groceries and some day-to-day tea to bring back home.

Having arrived at the campsite on Marine Drive, I chatted a little with the staff and found out that they would have liked to present some information in German. They’d had it before, but it got destroyed… Even though I was perfectly fine with English information (which I prefer anyway), I offered my help in quickly translating the transport information. It wasn’t really a huge job and shortly afterwards I made my way to the bus stop.

My first stop in the city centre of course gas to be the eteaket tea room. I had found this place by accident three years ago and loved it. So, while typing this short blog entry on my phone, I am enjoying a scone and a chai latte! Just wonderfully tasty!!

I will, at some point before I leave Edinburgh, have to buy some tea to take home as well.

Right now, I’m enjoying the moment and will decide what to do. First, another cup of tea. Japanese green this time. The morning drizzle has cleared away, but the clouds are still hanging low. Although it’s clearing slowly, just walking up here, the castle was surrounded by mist.

I will have a wonderful time!
